Restoration: the big project (2)

A brief update right before the start of the new year. All wheels are installed ,the master cylinder is placed and filled up.The engine is almost been put together, and we started on making the new fireboard/ dashbord .

So, the tyres are placed on the rims and sprayed. brakehozes and main brake cylinder complete. Pistonrings arived and made to the right size so we could place the pistons in the engineblock.  the leather covers are      fitted to the rear axles. And wheesl are put on the front axle.

All the brakeshoes installed,the meshshafts and main rear driveshaft . New front brakecylinders. 3 rear brakedrums are beeing scraped out a little

september  16   2009

Returned  the brakebooster , new leather covers for the stearing axels , with thanks to Jack. New bushings in the rear blades. The brakecylinders shortened 19mm , and installed the rear axels .

augustus  21   2009

Last week the new bronze bushings were pressed in the tilting block ,new brake hozes and new brake lining is gleued on the rear brake shoes.

The past 6 months have been used to clean and powdercoat the rims. Assambled the rear axels ,apart from the brakes. We still got troubles to find replacement brake cylinders ,and parts for the masterbrake. Furtermore new brakeshoes are made to replace the broken one,s. A new sample for the leather doorhandles are made by Martin from Historic Engineering services .
